Welcome to 470 Joaquin Avenue in San Leandro's bustling Downtown neighborhood. The pride of ownership here is amazing. This charming 1915 Craftsman 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home evokes memories of yesteryear. Period details abound. There are beautiful light fixtures, picture rail molding, 12” baseboards, 9-foot coved ceilings, original built-ins, and gorgeous wooden floors. Enter to find an inviting living room complete with multi-lite pocket doors that lead to the formal dining room, the place where you will be happy to host many dinners. The large kitchen boasts plenty of space for cooking and room to add a large island. Each of the two bedrooms offers beautiful wooden floors and ample closet space. There is a sweet sunny backyard perfect for entertaining. An enclosed cabana-like shed is great for storing tools or bikes, and the adjacent patio is the perfect spot to enjoy outdoor dining! There is a long driveway that offers room for your boat, RV, or other vehicles, and a detached 2-car garage rounds out the amenities.

This location is ideal in that everything you need is approximately within a half mile including BART, highways, buses, great restaurants, shops, the main library, a post office, cafés, coffee, beer, and tacos. Several drinking establishments are also nearby, including 21st Amendment Brewery, Drake’s Brewing Company, Fieldwork Brewing Co, The Cooler, and Sons of Liberty Alehouse. If you enjoy pizza, Bluebird Pizza perennially appears as one of the Bay Area’s best pizzerias. Recently opened, Tio's Mediterranean Grill is not to be missed and is also nearby. My favorite sushi place, Tsuri Sushi is just a few blocks away and great Mexican food can be had at several restaurants only moments away. Check out Lake Chabot for all sorts of recreation including, great trails, boating, and fishing, and the San Leandro Marina for lovely outings along the water. Get involved in small-town politics at the City Hall, which is nearby, or head on over to the local farmers’ market at the library on Wednesday eves. San Leandro is an awesome place to call home. I should know, I live here. This is truly a special home. Come see what all the buzz is about so you can gain bragging rights for getting in ahead of your friends. Walkscore® is 93 (noted as a “Walker's Paradise”).

470 Joaquin Avenue

San Leandro is a small city just south of Oakland. Its east side stretches up into the hills of the East Bay Regional Park District. The west side is flatter and has the advantage of the San Francisco Bay shoreline, public golf course, and marina.

Homes for sale in San Leandro can be traced through the decades -- from the 1910s to the present day. A wide variety of architectural styles is found in north San Leandro. Dramatic, hillside contemporary homes, many of which feature expansive bay and canyon views, are the hallmark of the Bayo Vista neighborhood. Charming, older homes sit along the winding streets of the Estudillo Estates and Broadmoor Districts. Most of the city's ranch-style homes lie towards the Marina, along with some newer, custom-home developments.

San Leandro is proud of its small-town feel and boasts a Wednesday farmers' markets, several annual festivals, and an increasing number of locally owned restaurants and coffee houses. San Leandro’s commute options are excellent: it has its own Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station, transbay buses, and easy access to Interstate 880 and Interstate 580 for trips to the Silicon Valley or San Francisco.
